Greg Sharrow, founder and CEO of propeller design company Sharrow Engineering and Sharrow Marine in St. Clair Shores, has joined the National Marine Propeller Association (NMPA) board of directors.

NMPA is dedicated to promoting excellence in the boat propeller industry, including in repair, sales, and customer service, and thought leadership. NMPA also focuses on education and advocacy by providing information and training that expands its members’ knowledge about propellers and enhances professionalism through certification.

With a 30-plus year history, NMPA is an integral part of driving a $121.5 billion industry that employs 338,000 workers servicing 12 million registered boats across the United States.

“Being named to the National Marine Propeller Association’s board of directors is a tremendous honor,” says Sharrow. “I am excited to work alongside other propeller industry leaders to identify opportunities to make a positive impact together.”

Sharrow Marine became an official member of the NMPA in November of 2023. This partnership solidifies the company’s dedication to the industry’s development and growth and sets in motion the potential for future collaboration between Sharrow and other NMPA members.

“I’m extremely pleased to welcome Greg Sharrow of Sharrow Marine to the NMPA Board of Directors following the just concluded elections,” says Mike Jones, president of the NMPA. “His drive and his vision will help us as we chart a great new course and enter a new era for the association.”
