CHICAGO — Greeley and Hansen, a global civil and environmental engineering, architectural, and management consulting firm celebrating its 100th anniversary, has named Nicole Spieles as a new principal.
Spieles is an Office Director with overall responsibility for the firm’s Detroit operations. She has broad technical experience in the study, design, and construction of various water and wastewater facilities and has served as the project manager for major projects for key municipal utility clients in Michigan and New York, as well as for other clients across the U.S.
Spieles is a registered Professional Engineer with a master’s degree in environmental engineering and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is a member of the American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation, and serves as the chair for several committees at the Michigan Water Environment Association. Spieles also received an Outstanding Environmental Consultant of the Year award from the association in recognition of her professional excellence and outstanding efforts in publicly promoting the water environment profession.
