Grant Thornton LLP Promotes, Adds Professionals to Team

SOUTHFIELD — Grant Thornton LLP admitted Mick Rennick to the partnership and promoted Phil Gaglio to managing director in the firm’s Detroit office, effective August 1. Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 27 new partners and principals and promoted 34 professionals to managing director.

These professionals have consistently demonstrated their  ability to understand and meet the needs of dynamic companies and industries. They also have shown long-term leadership in the accounting profession and the community.

Managing directors are the highest-level employee position in the firm and are important members of the firm’s leadership team.

Rennick has more than 12 years of experience providing both publicly-traded and privately held companies with accounting and auditing needs and is experienced in assisting publicly held companies with fulfilling their requirements for the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and is chairman of its international task force. He also is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the board of advisors and audit committee of Vista Maria.

Gaglio has more than 25 years of valuation, financial analysis and litigation support experience. He is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Detroit, Institute of Business Appraisers, American Society of Appraisers (Candidate Member) and the ESOP Association. He serves on the Health Care Committee of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Executive Committee of the Michigan ESOP Association, and is a past president of the Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary.
