NORTHVILLE —  Granite City Food and Brewery opened in Northville today at the  Northville Park Place development on the southwest corner of Haggerty and Seven Mile roads.

“As we continue our expansion into the Michigan market, we’re pleased to open metro Detroit’s second Granite City Food & Brewery in Northville,” said Rob Doran, Granite City Food & Brewery CEO.

Located at 39603 Traditions Dr., the 10,200 square foot restaurant will seat approximately 300 customers features an outdoor patio with additional seating for 80 people. The modern-designed space, which includes a comfortable dining room, three-sided modern, full-service bar, two private dining areas, an open kitchen with a central wood-fried pizza oven and an on-site brewery, creates an inviting ambiance with its dark wood and granite accents. For added convenience, the restaurant will feature family restrooms, purse hooks and USB ,and electrical outlets underneath the bar for tech savvy guests in need of a charge.

Patrons will enjoy a satiable menu that features made-from-scratch recipes and fresh ingredients. Signature dishes include ponzu salmon, braised bison short ribs, pulled pork waffle sandwich, burgers, flatbreads, salads, steaks and more, as well as a regionally-defined seasonal menu sourced from local food producers.

The brew-pub’s handcrafted beers  — also available in growlers — are moderately priced and offer unique styles and flavors not typically produced by major breweries.  The patented brewing process, known as Fermentus Interruptus, makes replicating the same great taste simple and efficient throughout all Granite City Food & Brewery restaurants. Signature brews include The Duke, an India Pale Ale; The Bennie, a German Bock; The Northern, an American Lager; and The Broad Axe, an Oatmeal Stout.  Seasonal brews are also created onsite and featured throughout the year, in addition to a selection of other locally-produced Michigan beers.

Dedicated to the community, Granite City Food & Brewery has partnered with the Northville Civic Concern to aid in the local fight against hunger. Patrons today are invited to dine at the Northville location, and Granite City will donate 10 percent of each meal purchase to the food bank.
