ROCHESTER HILLS – Golden Heart Senior Care, a national provider in-home caregiving for the elderly, has opened its first Michigan franchise in Rochester Hills. The new location will primarily serve Oakland County, and also provide assistance throughout metro Detroit.

The new center is owned and operated by long-time Rochester residents John and Brendy Pas, who bring more than 30 years of business management, client service, and marketing expertise to their new venture. Brendy has also owned and managed Brendy Barr Communications for 15 years, a Detroit area public relations firm.

A member of the Michigan Association for Home Care, the new senior caregiving agency offers a variety of services to help preserve their clients’ independent lifestyles such as housekeeping, personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), meal preparation, medication reminders, driving, laundry, errands and companionship.  Short-term respite care is also available.

According to the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging, the fastest growing segment of Michigan’s population is adults age 85 and older, which has grown by 35 percent between 2000 and 2010. As people live longer, the demand for senior care services will grow.
