SOUTHFIELD — Alana Nicol has been named the new company president for Gerry Weinberg & Associates, an executive sales, management, and leadership training firm.
Nicol, of Milford, is responsible for selling, coaching and facilitating training for the company’s various public and in-house programs. She also is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s marketing and new business strategies, as well as overseeing the firm’s daily operations and managing the employees.
Nicol worked part-time for the company before becoming full-time, performing a variety of roles throughout her tenure, including administrative, bookkeeping, marketing, and social media responsibilities. Before her recent promotion to president, Nicol most recently was serving as director of marketing and business development. Nicol began her career as a global team leader and packaging engineer for SC Johnson & Sons in Racine, Wis., a global consumer products company, where she worked in research and development responsibl for global new product launches and cost-saving initiatives.
An active member of her local YMCA and Johnson Elementary School volunteer, Nicol earned her Bachelor of Science in packaging from Michigan State University.
