Fred Meyer Jewelers Opens Store in Shelby


SHELBY – Fred Meyer Jewelers will open its 13th location in Michigan with a 1,300 square foot store within the Shelby Kroger Marketplace later this month.

“We’re delighted to offer Shelby shoppers quality jewelry at a great value, assisted by our highly knowledgeable staff,” said Peter Engel president of Fred Meyer Jewelers.” And now, they can enjoy the convenience of shopping in their neighborhood grocery store.”  This Shelby location, 14945 E. 23 Mile Rd., is the second new store to open this year. More than  20 new Marketplace stores are slated to open throughout the year.

To celebrate the occasion, the first 100 customers at the store, starting at 8 a.m. Feb. 23  will receive a fresh water pearl bracelet set valued at $45. In addition, customers can enter to win a pair of diamond earrings valued at nearly $2,000. Also, gift bags will be given to the first 100 customers each day, Feb. 24 – 27.

This opening marks the company’s 58th national store within a Kroger Marketplace location, and, the second Marketplace store in Michigan.
