LIVONIA – Just Baked, a specialty cupcake shop with 12 locations throughout southeast Michigan, announced Wednesday that founder Pam Turkin is a semifinalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Award in Michigan & Northwest Ohio. The unique award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership, and achievement, and who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
“I’m honored to be named a semifinalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award,” Turkin said. “When we started Just Baked in 2009, our focus and goal was to create the best tasting cupcakes and it has been a wonderful journey to watch our company grow in such a short span of time. To be recognized for doing something that I love is truly gratifying.”
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com, Fred Smith of FedEx, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, and many more. Founded and produced by Ernst & Young LLP, these Awards are nationally sponsored in the United States by SAP America and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Now in its 26th year, it is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.
Finalists and award recipients will be named at a special gala on June 14, 2012 at the MGM Grand, Detroit.
