Tax attorney Angelique Neal has joined Varnum’s tax practice team. A former tax attorney for the IRS, Neal will be based in the firm’s Novi office.
Neal joins the firm from her practice in Brighton and focuses on civil tax controversy and tax planning. She works with clients in southeast Michigan cities as well as clients with overseas interests in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Kuwait; Switzerland; and New Zealand.
Before entering private practice, Neal served for six years in the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS as a trial attorney. She also served as special assistant U.S. attorney in the Central District of California U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Neal received her law degree from Detroit College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California.
