Former Assistant Attorney General Joins Law Firm


FARMINGTON HILLS — Former Michigan Assistant Attorney General John R. Wright is joining the Farmington Hills-based law firm of Rogers Mantese and Associates PC.

Wright will focus on health care provider and health care professional representation. His attention will be centered on professional licensing, federal and state litigation, government investigations related to Stark Law and fraud-and-abuse issues, peer review hearings, administrative hearings, and health care transactions. He represented agencies such as the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affasirs and the Health Professions Division of the Bureau of Health Care Services. He also gave legal advice to state boards and commissions overseeing health care professionals.

Wright began as an assistant attorney general in the Michigan Department of Attorney General, representing state agencies. During his time, he received the annual staff award for Excellence in Opinion Draftsmanship and the “Rookie of the Year” award for his first year performance in the office. He received his juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School, and graduated from Syracuse University in New York.
