Forgotten Harvest Names New CEO

OAK PARK — Forgotten Harvest has named Kirk Mayes as its new CEO.

Mayes joins Forgotten Harvest from the city of Detroit, where he was deputy group executive of the jobs and economy team.

Prior to joining Mayor Mike Duggan’s administration, Mayes was the executive director of the Brightmoor Alliance.

He also held leadership and organizational positions at the National Community Development Institute, Communities in Schools Detroit, and Village Gardeners — the latter of which he founded.
