Forgotten Harvest Names Director of Social Enterprise

OAK PARK — As Forgotten Harvest continues to develop innovative programs and initiatives to fight hunger in Metro Detroit, the organizationhs named Chris Nemeth to the new position of senior director of social enterprise. In this new role, Nemeth will lead the development and growth of business ideas and ventures that allow Forgotten Harvest to further its mission to end hunger and eliminate food waste.

Nemeth, of Plymouth, has more than three decades of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit worlds, most recently as regional manager for Hibu, the international marketing services company. He had previously served as vice president for development at St. Peter’s Home for Boys; vice president sales and marketing at Consolidated Communications Directories; and managing director, Market Management for Southwestern Bell. He is also a veteran of the Michigan Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve.

Nemeth earned a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology from the University of Michigan Dearborn and a master’s in marketing from Webster University.
