Fashion Show to Benefit Mansour Fund, W. Bloomfield Schools

2076

WEST BLOOMFIELD –— Ten local salons and 10 fashion boutiques will come together on Dec. 20 for the Fifth Annual Passion for Fashion Charity Show at Shenandoah Country Club in West Bloomfield. The annual event will raise money and awareness to support the Alexander and Gabrielle Mansour Memorial Fund, a permanently endowed fund to support the West Bloomfield School District.

“This event promotes a different charity every year and we salute the generosity of our sponsors and the local businesses who participate,” says Derek Dickow, Steward Media Founder. “This year we are hoping to continue to not only raise dollars, but also to raise awareness for the Alexander and Gabrielle Mansour Memorial Fund.”

The event, presented by BELFOR Property Restoration, Charity Motors, and Groupon and produced by area consulting firm Steward Media, brings together local businesses and the community for live entertainment by Ben Sharkey, giveaways, and a fashion show hosted by Slim from Mojo in the Morning and Miss Michigan USA Elizabeth Ivezaj.

“As a local clothing boutique owner, we have proudly supported this event since 2009,” says Natasha Robin, owner of Eden Revolution in West Bloomfield. “It’s amazing to see our close knit community come together and support such an important cause.  We are honored to participate in this event each year.”

“On behalf of my family, we are thankful to the entire community for the overwhelming support, love and prayers we have received from this tragedy,” says Steve Mansour, the children’s uncle. “While my family is still in mourning, we are happy to have the Alexander and Gabrielle Mansour Memorial Fund selected as this year’s benefactor. Our goal is to keep the memory of Alexander and Gabrielle alive and promote events in their honor supporting student enrichment programs and activities including art, dance or basketball, which were of particular interest to Alexander and Gabrielle.”

Patrons are invited to enjoy an evening of strolling hors d’oeuvres, dancing, live entertainment, desserts, late night snacks, a grand prize raffle from Darakjian Jewelers of Birmingham, and a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the memorial fund.
