Southfield-based Farbman Group, a full service real estate company, is hosting a back-to-school supplies drive to benefit Beyond Basics, a student-centered literacy nonprofit serving students in Detroit Public Schools since 2002.
The school supplies drive is unde way and will continue through Aug. 22 with collection sites at five local Farbman Group office buildings in Southfield, Bingham Farms, Troy and Detroit. Items that are needed include spiral notebooks, crayons, pencils, highlighters, scissors, note cards, backpacks, glue sticks, hand sanitizer, tissue, and more.
“These basic school supplies are an important part of creating a strong and supportive learning environment that helps these young students achieve success both inside and outside the classroom,” said Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group. “At Farbman Group, we’re happy to have the opportunity to put on this initiative and help make a big difference in the lives of students at Beyond Basics.”
