Dykema, a national law firm based in Detroit, announced the addition of Aaron J. Keel as a government policy advisor in the firm’s government solutions group, resident in the firm’s Lansing office.
Prior to joining Dykema, Keel served as director for the office of legislative affairs for the Michigan Department of Treasury. He also held leadership staff roles within Michigan’s House Democratic Caucus.
“Having held various leadership roles in the state legislature and the executive administration, Aaron is a trusted and respected voice in Lansing,” says Alan Wilk, leader of Dykema’s government solutions group. “His invaluable experience and intimate knowledge of navigating the legislative and political process will be a tremendous benefit to the firm and its clients.”
During his time with the Michigan Department of Treasury, Keel led a team of legislative liaisons advocating for the department’s legislative priorities on behalf of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s administration.
Keel earned a master’s degree from Colorado State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan – Flint.
