Driving Detroit’s Future: Annual Dream Maker’s Gala Set

DETROIT — Driving change in Southwest Detroit happens in October. The Detroit Hispanic Development Corp.’s  2013 Dream Makers’ Cruise Gala & Silent Auction will be held October 24 at GM World in the General Motors Renaissance Center. This event features silent auction and raffle items from some of metro Detroit’s finest retailers and restaurants, and a keynote speech by GM’s highest ranking Latina, Grace Lieblein, vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply. Funds raised at the Gala benefit residents of Southwest Detroit who are working hard to transform their lives.

Becoming engaged in DHDC’s annual gala has never been easier, with several levels of sponsorship available General Motors Supplier Diversity is the Title/Venue/Continuing Education Scholarship sponsor, and is joined by several leading companies throughout Detroit. Sponsorship opportunities and benefits, which include an exclusive networking hour with others working to drive Detroit’s future and rebuild families’ lives are available. DTE Energy, a leader in DHDC fundraising efforts, has handed the baton to General Motors as the venue location for this year’s dinner. The DHDC’s fundraising goal is $200,000 and ultimately creates opportunities for viable lifestyles of our future.
