The Downtown Detroit Partnership will host its 32nd annual Detroit Aglow fundraiser at MGM Grand Detroit on Nov. 23. The event is open to the public and draws attendees from the business and philanthropic communities in and around the Downtown, in addition to local elected officials and government representatives.
All funds raised at the event, from from 5:30 to 10 p.m., will help support DDP programs, which enhance the quality of life for Detroit’s residents and visitors by providing active and engaging public spaces and an overall clean and safe downtown. DDP also supports the Downtown business community through initiatives of the Business Improvement Zone.
“DDP has a strong track record of serving the Downtown community, and this year in particular featured some of our most exciting successes,” says Eric B. Larson, CEO of the organization. “Detroit Aglow is a celebration of that success and the opportunities that lie ahead, as well as the recognition of the support of our partners, members and stakeholders as we enter the holiday season.”
DDP programs include the Detroit Experience Factory, the Build Institute, the Live Downtown Program, and programming throughout the Downtown parks. Detroit Aglow is presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions, a Detroit-based global IT and business solutions company. Additional sponsors include Lear Corporation, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Detroit Medical Center, MGM Grand Detroit, Brickman Group, Comerica, Chase, Diggs Group Heritage, and Blumz.
