Luanne Thomas Ewald has been named CEO of the Detroit Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Detroit and Troy locations.
In her new role, Ewald will be focusing on DMC’s pediatric service lines, and the expansion of ambulatory and inpatient pediatric and surgical services.
Ewald, with nearly 25 years of experience, previously worked at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan as the vice president of business development and strategic planning, the interim CEO, the director of women’s services, the chief of staff to the DMC CEO, and corporate vice president of business development and marketing.
Ewald, of Royal Oak, earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a specialization in Marketing from Marquette University, a master in hospital and health administration from Xavier university, and is a graduate of Tenet Health’s Leadership Academy.
