Troy-based law firm Dinsmore and Shohl has announced Andrey Tomkiw will be joining the firm’s labor and employment department.

Tomkiw has counseled business owners on a wide-range of complicated employee relations and has been a representative in front of numerous state and federal agencies. He most recently served as the managing member of Tomkiw Mackewich, based in Royal Oak, and has been named a top attorney in the state of Michigan for eight consecutive years by Super Lawyers Magazine.

“The addition of Andrey Tomkiw to Dinsmore is a significant step forward for our continued growth in Michigan,” said Mark Schneider, Michigan office managing partner. “Many other large firms in the Detroit area were courting Andrey and we are thrilled he selected Dinsmore. Andrey’s decision speaks volumes about Dinsmore’s reputation and platform growth.”

Tomkiw earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry, and his J.D. from Detroit’s Wayne State University Law School.

“I’m excited to join a firm as well-respected as Dinsmore,” says Tomkiw. “I spoke with several firms but Dinsmore was clearly the best fit. The addition of my practice to Dinsmore’s plan for growth gives our firm increased visibility and opportunities to better serve our clients.”
