Strategic Staffing Solutions in Detroit today announced the promotion of Bob Zhang to Detroit market team leader. Previously, Zhang was director of customer care and contact services of Strategic’s customer contact centers, where he led a team to create a facility in Detroit in a matter of weeks.

In his new role, Zhang will lead Strategic’s Detroit branch, which is the company’s largest branch and an integral part of its growth with a reach that touches more than 12 countries. He will also lead the Detroit Development Center, Strategic’s hub for managed services, software business process outsourcing, enterprise resource planning integration, web and application development, and maintenance services. The center also houses Strategic’s call center that offers testing, software development, and desktop support.

Zhang says his main goal in his new position is to understand customers’ business objectives, technical environment, and company culture to provide a well-screened, highly skilled staff.
Zhang has degrees in computer science and mathematics. He joined Strategic in 2004 as IT director and was in charge of maintaining the infrastructure of the company’s 32 global offices.
