Paxahau Events has announced this month the phase one lineup for the 2016 Movement Electronic Musical Festival taking place May 28-30 inside Detroit’s Hart Plaza.

“The Detroit festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary and continues to promote a number of up-and-comers, local luminaries, and pioneers of electronic music,” says Jason Huvaere, Paxahau’s founder.

He says electronic acts such as Kraftwerk, of Germany, and Dan Snaith’s Caribou will be making their Movement debuts, along with Four Tet, Âme, The Black Madonna, and others.

DJ Pierre, Chicago DJ, producer, and creator of Acid House, will join the Acid Stage showcase lineup, featuring German-based Boys Noize and Nina Kraviz. The full Acid Stage lineup will be announced soon, says Huvaere.

Local artists such as Shaun Reeves, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, and Moritz von Oswald will make appearances. Other highlights include Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke as Get Real, Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Guy Gerber, John Digweed, J.Phlip, Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Matador, Seth Troxler, Stacey Pullen, Tale of Us, tINI, Will Sessions feat. Amp Fiddler, Zip, and more, says Huvaere.
