Lockton, an independent insurance broker with U.S. headquarters in Missouri, has selected Elaine Coffman as president of its Michigan operation, which is based in Detroit.
“Our expansion in Michigan will enhance the risk management, human capital, and retirement business strategies of local, regional, and national organizations,” says Joe Agnello, CEO of Lockton’s Kansas City region that includes Michigan, Des Moines, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Omaha. “We found the most forward-thinking and exciting business leader in the region in Elaine.”
Coffman will lead Lockton’s expansion and hiring in the market. She has more than 30 years of experience in data and technology, and she works with clients to develop engagement solutions.
Previously, she worked at Marsh and McLennan Agency. There, she stayed for 17 years and focused on consulting with businesses to engage and retain talent. Before McLennan, she led the Michigan region for Great West Health Care, an insurance carrier acquired by Cigna, and was the vice president of Select Care.
Lockton has 7,500 associates who advise clients on protecting their people, property, and reputations.
