Dykema, a national law firm based in Detroit, has hired Paul R. Boken as COO. He will work primarily out of the firm’s Chicago office.
Boken has nearly 25 years of executive management experience, most recently serving as COO of Dinsmore and Shohl LLP, a law firm based in Cincinnati with more than 650 attorneys.
“Paul brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge, and consummate professionalism to Dykema,” says Peter Kellett, chairman and CEO of Dykema. “I am confident he will do an outstanding job guiding the firm to meets its goals and help to further enhance our client service in the coming years.”
Boken was also executive managing director at Hinshaw and Culbertson in Chicago for more than 16 years. He also worked at Arthur Andersen and Co. for 15 years, seven of which were in administrative leadership roles.

Boken earned a bachelor’s degree from the Loyola Marymount University College of Business Administration.
Richard Holdrup, the firm’s current COO, plans to retire at the end of March.
Dykema serves business entities worldwide and has 13 U.S. offices.
