Detroit’s Dykema Adds Michael Gzybowski to Ann Arbor Office

Dykema, a law firm based in Detroit, announced Michael Gzybowski as senior counsel for the intellectual property department in the Ann Arbor office.

Gzybowski previously worked for Brinks Gilson and Lione and is a former examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office with more than 30 years of private practice experience. His practice focuses on preparing and filing patent applications and obtaining patents on behalf of clients in the U.S. and abroad.

He had prosecuted more than 1,000 patent applications across technical fields, and has also provided counsel on patent litigation, patentability, infringement, right to use, validity issues, and licensing and intellectual property agreements.

“Mike’s experience working in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and in private practice, paired with his background as an engineer, adds great depth to our team,” says Krista Lenart, managing member of Dykema’s Ann Arbor office. “He is a highly respected attorney with vast experience and a unique perspective in a very technical space. He will be a tremendous asset to our clients in Michigan and nationally.”

Gzybowski earned a juris doctor degree from the George Mason University Antonin Scalia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.
