Chemical Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chemical Financial Corp., has announced the addition of James Gudenau as national business deposit manager to its Detroit headquarters.
“We are excited to have Jim join our growing team in Detroit,” says Chris McComish, chief banking officer. “Jim brings tremendous experience and industry knowledge to our clients in Michigan and across the Midwest.”
In his new position, Gudenau will be responsible for working with centers of influence, clients, prospects, and other intermediaries focusing on expanding Chemical Bank’s deposit share from tax- and escrow-driven transactions.
Gudenau joins the Chemical Bank executive team with 17 years of banking experience at Comerica Bank, where he most recently led the company’s 1031 exchange and corporate escrow teams.

Gudenau earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Walsh College and his master’s degrees in taxation and business administration from Wayne State University.
