Detroit Zoological Society Announces New Board Members

Two new members join the Detroit Zoological Society board.

ROYAL OAK– The Detroit Zoological Society approved Matthew B. Elliott and Rick Ruffner for a three-year term on its board of directors at the annual member meeting on June 22, 2011.

Elliott is a Middle Market Banking executive with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Commercial Banking division. Based in Troy, Mich., he is responsible for leading the company’s Michigan middle market banking business.

Ruffner is founder and president of Avanti Press, Inc., a Detroit-based publisher of greeting cards whose products are sold in more than 20 countries. He also serves on the boards of Boy Scouts of America Great Lakes Council, Detroit Historical Society, Michigan Humane Society and Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy.
