Detroit Seeks Input on Draft of Urban Agriculture Ordinance

The city of Detroit has released a draft of its Urban Agriculture Ordinance from the City Planning Commission and is looking for public input.

The Planning Commission is holding a series of three community hearing on the Urban Agriculture Ordinance. All sessions are from 6-8 p.m. The will be held:

Sept. 19: at St. Maron’s Hall, 11466 Kercheval in Detroit

Sept. 24:  at Tabernacle Missonary Baptist Church, 2080 W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit

Sept. 25: at Greater Grace Temple, 23500 W. Seven Mile in Detroit.

The meetings are the next steps in the city’s process that will allow for agricuture growth within the city’s zoning code.
