AUBURN HILLS — The Detroit Pistons announced that season ticket renewals and new season ticket sales have started for the 2012 -13 season.  The club also announced that there will be no increase in season ticket prices.

Renewing season ticket holders and first-time season ticket buyers will join one of two new membership groups, Pistons Black and Pistons Red.  These two fan communities will have exclusive events and privileges that complement their ticket package and a six-month interest free payment plan.

Members at both levels will also receive a one-of-a-kind on-court Pistons team jacket.   Using advanced-microchip technology embedded in the sleeve, ticket holders can use the jacket at all games to receive 20 percent off food and beverage items and 30 percent off merchandise purchased at The Palace.

“Being the first NBA team to implement this type of microchip technology, the exclusive on-court jacket is one example of how we are finding new ways to reward our loyal season ticket holders and enhance their fan experience,” said Jeff Ajluni, Executive Vice President for Palace Sports & Entertainment.

Ticket holders joining the Pistons Black or Pistons Red membership groups will notice benefits packages that include up to 10 new benefit items ranging from VIP invitations to the team’s 2012 Tipoff Party and exclusive DTE Summer Season, to member-only single-game pricing, and private pre-sale opportunities for selected PS&E concerts and events.
