Detroit Creative Corridor Center Names Interim Executive Director

The Detroit Creative Corridor Center has named Ellen Schneider as interim executive director, while the search proceeds for a new leader to succeed Matthew Clayson, who accepted a position in the private sector. 

Schneider, of Detroit, is associate director of the DC3, a joint initiative between Business Leaders for Michigan and the College for Creative Studies. Clayson will continue in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition. Prior to joining DC3, Schneider practiced bankruptcy law with Schneider Miller, PC in downtown Detroit.

Schneider is an attorney and lifelong Detroiter responsible for managing programming and operations at DC3. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in international studies at DePaul University in Chicago, she returned to Detroit to study at Wayne State University Law School focusing on urban policy and community development.
