DETROIT — Butzel Long, one of Michigan’s leading law firms, has added 13 attorneys in its Washington, D.C. office. The total number of Butzel attorneys in Washington increases to 14.
“This is a natural evolution of our relationship and strengthens our full-service representation throughout our various offices,” said Justin G. Klimko, Butzel’s president and managing shareholder.
The added attorneys previously practiced with the firm Butzel Long Tighe Patton, a firm in which Butzel Long has been a member. The two firms established a joint venture in April 2009 under the Butzel Long Tighe Patton name, operating from offices at 1747 Pennsylvania Avenue. Effective immediately, Butzel Long Tighe Patton will cease rendering services separately.
Richard Gordin, co-managing shareholder of the Washington office and one of the attorneys joining Butzel Long, said “This move provides our Washington, D.C. clients with greater access to a global, full-service law firm and helps further enhance the breadth and depth of Butzel’s capabilities.”
