Samaritas, a Bloomfield Hills-based assisted living facility, recently promoted Deb Sloss to the position of administrator of senior living.

“Deb is a valuable, talented member of our Senior Living team,” says Leigh McLeod, vice president of senior living at Samaritas. “Our Bloomfield Hills community is a vibrant place for seniors to find support and connection. Under Deb’s leadership, we know it will continue to thrive and expand its reach exponentially.”

Sloss joined Samaritas as director of care management in 2015. Prior to that, she served for eight years as a clinical social worker and a clinical supervisor for Reverence Hospice.

“I love what I do,” says Sloss. “This position is a wonderful blend of caring for our senior residents and their families, and outreach in the community. I am energized by my team and our residents.”

Sloss earned a master of social work degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of business administration from Lawrence Technical University.

Founded in 1934, Samaritas is one of the state’s largest faith-based nonprofits. Prior to April 2016, Samaritas operated as Lutheran Social Services of Michigan.
