David Wash Named Chief Medical Officer for Central City Integrated Health

Dr. David K. Wash was named chief medical officer of Central City Integrated Health (CCIH), a Detroit-based federally qualified health center offering medical, dental, and behavioral health care to residents of Detroit and Wayne County.

“Dr. Wash is a truly accomplished and widely respected medical professional with decades of experience,” says Dr. Kimberly Farrow, president and CEO of CCIH Farrow. “He is a board-certified family medicine physician with a secondary specialization in emergency medicine and value-based care.

“Dr. Wash also is a strong advocate for preventative medicine and will diligently work to keep CCIH patients educated, informed and proactive when it comes to their health. He will make a great addition to our organization’s leadership team.”

In his role as CCIH chief medical officer, Wash is responsible for making that that patients receive the highest standard of medical care and will be responsible for the performance of physicians and clinicians under his supervision. He is also responsible for ensuring that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met, keeping staff updated, and exploring new ways to improve clinical services.

Wash will act as a liaison between senior leadership, physicians, health clinicians, and support staff, and will recruit and mentor physicians and other health clinicians. He also will provide guidance for the multi-disciplinary project and study teams for the successful execution of the projects.

Wash has been practicing medicine for 24 years and received his medical degree from Wayne State University’s school of medicine in 1999.
