As part of statewide expansion plans, Lathrup Village-based Michigan First Credit Union recently announced the hiring of David Morgan to serve as chief lending officer. In this role, Morgan will oversee the credit union’s commercial and consumer loan portfolios, and manage the development and implementation of policies relating to lending activities and long-term portfolio growth.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Morgan recently served as the managing director of operations and administration for Chemical Bank, and has held leadership positions at other financial institutions, including Michigan National Bank, Old Kent Bank, and Citizens Bank. Additionally, Morgan is active in the community, volunteering with Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America, the Red Cross, and various local business associations.
