Crystal Flash Names New VP of Supply

GRAND RAPIDS — John J. Ertle has joined Crystal Flash, an independent energy distributor, as vice president of supply.

He will be responsible for overseeing all fuel-buying initiatives for the company from exploration to hedging and purchasing. Additionally, Ertle will be responsible for reviewing major business contracts and monitor fuel markets for the company.

Ertle brings nearly two decades of operations management, strategic planning, logistics, and fuel experience to Crystal Flash. Previously, Ertle was vice president of operations at Beck Suppliers Inc., a petroleum and propane distributors in northwest Ohio. Ertle also has extensive management experience in the transportation and manufacturing industries. Prior to Beck, he was general manager of sales and operations at JTI Transportation in Walbridge, Ohio, where he was responsible for logistics, warehousing and highway transportation.  He also worked as an area facility manager at Stericycle Inc., supervising facilities in three Midwestern states.

Ertle has a bachelor’s  in business administration and a master’s in organizational leadership from Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio. He is a certified first aid responder with the American Red Cross.
