CRUSH Birmingham Food and Wine Classic hosts wine personalities and master sommeliers to describe, advise, and recommend some of the year’s most exquisite wine choices to accompany culinary masterpieces to benefit Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.
Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the food and wine pairings before participating in a live auction to benefit the foundation. This year’s event will also honor Eric R. Fearon, M.D. and Ph.D. from University of Michigan’s Comprehensive Cancer Center with the 2014 Pioneers in Medicine Award and Abick’s Detroit with the 2014 Foundation’s Leadership Award.
This year CRUSH Birmingham welcomes Kyle Janzen of Bacio Divino Cellars in Napa Valley, Calif. and Chef Paul Virant of Perennial Virant in Chicago and Vie Restaurant in Western Springs, Ill.
Culinary Masters include executive chefs from Trattoria Stella, The Capital Grille, The Bird and The Bread, The Stand Gastro Bistro, Cuisine, Local Kitchen & Bar, La Bécasse, Bistro Foufou, Torino, Forest Grill, The Root Restaurant & Bar, and The Rugby Grille.
