Corewell Health East Names Derk Pronger President of Farmington Hills Hospital

Corewell Health East, the Beaumont half of the recent merger between Spectrum Health and Beaumont Health, has promoted Derk Pronger to be the next president of Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital.

“Since the beginning of this year, Derk has taken on more and more responsibilities at our Farmington Hills campus. He has done a wonderful job and I’m confident he will be a fantastic president,” says Nancy Susick, CEO of acute and post-acute services at Corewell Health East.

Pronger previously served as chief operating officer for the Farmington Hills campus. His other previous roles include chief operating officer and interim president and chief executive officer for Munson Healthcare’s hospital in Traverse City; and vice president, surgical and ancillary services, at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital.

“I’m honored be the new president of our Farmington Hills campus. We have a tremendous team that inspires and impresses me every day. I am excited to work with them to fulfill our mission to improve health, instill humanity and inspire hope,” says Pronger.

He is board certified in health care management as a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. He also serves on the board for the Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families.

Pronger holds a master’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
