COO of Southfield’s Farbman Group Inducted into Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame

Southfield’s Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm, has announced Michael Kalil, COO and director of brokerage, has been inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.

Southfield’s Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm, has announced Michael Kalil, COO and director of brokerage, has been inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.

Kalil is responsible for new business development, brokerage, and receivership services. He also leads the brokerage sales team and is in charge of increasing the firm’s sales and bottom line.

He has leasing and management responsibilities for more than 25 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties.

“Michael Kalil is a true professional,” says Andy Gutman, president of Farbman Group. “He is a key member of our executive team and is instrumental in the direction of the company. It is my honor and pleasure to work with Michael on a daily basis to witness his expertise and the care that he provides to our clients.”

Kalil also led the firm’s receivership and real estate services responsible for repositioning commercial real estate in Michigan and Ohio, which has included a 1-million-square-foot industrial park in Detroit; a 500,000-square-foot regional mall in Holland, Mich.; a 1.5-million-square-foot regional mall in Randall Park, Ohio; and the 1-million-square-foot Greater Penobscot Building in downtown Detroit.

He also played a key role in the development and construction of the ambulatory expansion program at Detroit Medical Center.

Kalil has been with the group for more than 25 years.
