Continental Structural Plastics Adds New Executives

Continental Structural Plastics, a global manufacturer in lightweight advanced composite technologies, have named Rob Simon as vice president of strategy, and Steven Wusterbarth as executive director of advanced engineering and manufacturing.

Continental Structural Plastics, a global manufacturer in lightweight advanced composite technologies, have named Rob Simon as vice president of strategy, and Steven Wusterbarth as executive director of advanced engineering and manufacturing.

Previously, Simon served as director of sales and marketing and director of Asia-Pacific Business Development for Metaldyne. He’s also held positions in project management and market research. He more than 20 years of diversified automotive industry experience and is a member of SAE and the Society of Automotive Analysts.

Simon, of Grosse Pointe, Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from Eastern Michigan University.

Wusterbarth, with more than 20 years of experience, will lead the company’s joint venture and advanced manufacturing efforts. He will be responsible for the planning and implementation of advanced manufacturing and materials initiatives, including those involving possible acquisitions and joint ventures.

Previously, Wusterbarth was partner and COO of Creative Liquid Coatings, an injection molding and surface coating supplier to the automotive industry. He’s also held executive leadership positions with Plastech, Plastic Omnium, and Magna. He is a member of SAE and the Society of Plastics Engineers.

Wusterbarth, of Oscoda Township, earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology from Purdue University.
