The Construction Association of Michigan today announced the appointment of Sam Ruegsegger, project executive for the Christman Co., to its board of directors. In this role, Ruegsegger will serve as a representative for the Michigan construction industry for a term expiring in 2020.
Ruegsegger joined Christman in 2004 and has worked on a variety of building projects, giving him a multifaceted understanding of the industry. As a 22-year construction veteran, his recent projects include the Lake Trust Credit Union Corporate Headquarters, Howell Carnegie District Library, and Bedrock Detroit’s 1215 Griswold and 1201 Woodward Ave. Ruegsegger is known for his ability to effectively facilitate a collaborative environment on his projects, while considering the needs of all parties involved.
Ruegsegger graduated from Ferris State University with a bachelor of science in facilities management and is an active member of several charitable groups throughout Detroit.
The Christman Co. was founded in 1984 and has become one of the country’s largest professional construction firms, with services including: construction management, general contracting, design/build, real estate development, facilities analysis and planning, and self-performed skilled trades.
