Compuware Covisint Extends Global Supplier Portal Contract with Daimler AG

Covisint to Continue Providing Daimler With Access to Critical Business Information and Applications for More Than 50,000 of its Supplier Users Globally

DETROIT and STUTTGART, Germany, June 16, 2009 – Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR) today announced that its Covisint subsidiary has signed a contract extension with Daimler AG (NYSE:DAI). The newly inked agreement extends Covisint’s work for the Stuttgart-based auto manufacturer through a comprehensive portal and identity management solution that securely connects Daimler with its vast network of suppliers globally.

Large manufacturing companies with global supply chain requirements face several technology and flexibility challenges in providing suppliers with access to critical business information and applications. Security also is key since, without it, technology — no matter how advanced — is rendered useless.

“As social media and other newer technologies continue to emerge, security’s role in communications and transactions becomes even more critical,” said Florian Manhart, Director, Daimler AG. “Together with Covisint, we will further leverage the latest Web 2.0 features and, in a systematic approach, look for solutions to bring the communication with our suppliers to the next level.”

Covisint provides Daimler and its suppliers with an industry-standard connectivity and security solution — including single-sign-on in a cloud computing, SaaS model — enabling seamless and secure collaboration for critical business information.

“Covisint delivers on the global needs of business, regardless of a customer’s geography, unique technology strategy or size of partnership network,” said David McGuffie, Covisint President. “Covisint has the ability to drive process efficiency within the complex nature of global supply chains, and we are extremely pleased with the strategic Daimler relationship positioning us to continue our growth in the European market.”

Covisint’s on-demand collaboration platform and cloud computing approach helps virtual communities securely access, use and share time-sensitive information. Covisint solves business problems by streamlining and automating processes globally — connecting state and nationally based communities, organizations and systems in the healthcare, automotive and financial services industries, as well as the public sector.
