Community Foundation Names New VP of Marketing, Communications

DETROIT — The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan has named Kate French as its vice president of marketing and communications.

French will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing, integrated communications and brand strategies for the organization. She also will position the organization to current and prospective donors.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, French served as senior partner at Team Detroit, marketing a range of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products and services for nearly two decades. Most recently, she was account director, Ford Division, Commercial Vehicles and Fleet, where she was responsible for the development of global and regional marketing launch strategies, product positioning and marketing and communications plans. She also managed several pro-bono accounts.

French graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor in Arts in English from Barnard College in New York City.
