Comcast today opened a new Xfinity retail store along Woodward Avenue in Detroit’s Midtown district.
“The technology in our homes is much more complex than ever before,” says Jason Gumbs, vice president of marketing for Comcast’s heartland region. “We design our new stores to make it easy for customers to learn in an engaging, hands-on way about the many capabilities of the products and services we offer that they rely on every day.”
Gumbs says the 1,770-square-foot store, to be located at 3907 Woodward Ave. at the corner of Selden Street, will feature flat screen high-definition TVs, a seating area, and iPads for customers to try out Xfinity’s mobile apps that let customers watch live TV, stream On Demand content, download movies and TV shows, and manage and monitor their homes.
Gumbs says customers can also pay bills, pick up and return equipment, and get assistance from sales consultants. The store has six employees and will be open Monday through Saturday.
