Collins Einhorn Farrell in Southfield Adds Three Attorneys

Southfield’s Collins Einhorn Farrell has added two attorneys to its professional liability practice group and one to its general and automotive liability practice group.

Hussein S. Berri has joined the firm’s general and automotive liability practice group. He focuses on general liability, insurance coverage, and no-fault claims, representing insurers, corporations, and individuals.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Michigan University and earned his juris doctor degree at Michigan State University College of Law. He volunteers with Project Clean Slate, a Detroit initiative to help residents get their criminal records expunged so they qualify for better job opportunities.

Berri is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Detroit Bar Association.

Laura M. McLane has been added to the firm’s professional liability practice group. She focuses on the defense and claims asserted against professionals including attorneys, health care professionals, real estate agents, and accountants.

McLane has an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She completed her juris doctor degree at the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She was previously an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office and an instructor at the Oakland County Police Academy.

She is involved with the Oakland County Bar Association, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and State Bar of Michigan.

Mary C. Aretha has also joined the firm’s professional liability practice group. She has experience defending professional liability claims from the pre-suit phase through trail preparation. She has also defended employment discrimination and general negligence claims.

After completing her bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University, Aretha earned her juris doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law. She was previously a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen Jansen with the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Aretha is involved with the State Bar of Michigan, the United Stated District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
