Ciena Healthcare of Southfield and Laurel Healthcare of Westerville, Ohio, providers of nursing and rehabilitation services, announced the joint appointment of Dr. Drew Packey as their new corporate medical director. Packey is a physician and chief medical officer of Theoria Medical.
The partnership with Packey and Theoria Medical will make use of his experience and knowledge, allowing both companies to provide patient care and drive improvements in quality measures.
As corporate medical director, Packey will focus on initiatives to enhance the patient experience and outcomes across both companies. These include the implementation of evidence-based best practices, the promotion of interoperability, medical director standardization, and the integration of advanced technology solutions, such as AI-driven tools, return to hospital (RTH) prediction, and state-of-the-art medical devices that improve the quality of care and patient outcomes in skilled nursing facilities.
