FERNDALE, MI – Chimovitz Industries is celebrating ten years in business and ten years of growth by announcing it recently located to new offices at 1737 E. Nine Mile Road, Suite 2A, in Ferndale, hired a Network Engineer and added new services, including on line backups, automated complete system backups, wireless signal boosting by nearly 900%, as well as on and off-site computer support and repair.
Chimovitz Industries was founded in 2000 by Jared Chimovitz and has grown to become the premier computer support company in the Metro Detroit area, specializing in small office and in-home office computer solutions, including server, desktop and laptop computers support – on and off-site.
Due to strong growth, Lia Moore was recently hired as a Network Engineer in charge of configuring and maintaining servers, desktops, and laptops in small and home offices, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting networks in offices and homes. More technician hires may be necessary as early as summer.
“It’s been a great ten years and we can’t wait to see where the next ten years takes us,” says Chimovitz “We very glad to have Moore on our team and if we continue to grow at the present rate, we are hoping to hire a support technician or two in the summer.”
With 15 total years in the computer business, Chimovitz has seen a lot of changes, including a proliferation in the amount of new peripherals, availability of wireless access, a decrease in the size and portability of equipment without losing applications, and handheld devices available.
Chimovitz adds, however, that some things never change, like people not protecting their hardware and software from damage.
“I’ve seen a lot of strange things in hardware damage and software viruses,” says Chimovitz. “Not doing simple backups of important data including company documents and personal pictures is one of the most common. With a simple back up people can be up and running again in a fraction of the time it would normally take.”
