Children’s Hospital's Epilepsy Center Earns Top Recognition

DETROIT — The Children’s Hospital of Michigan has gained the highest certification (Level 4) available for its Epilepsy Center, as determined by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.

“Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest-level medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy,” the organization wrote in the notification letter to Dr. Harry T. Chugani, chief, neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s multidisciplinary pediatric team comprehensively diagnoses and treats children with all types of seizures.
