Children's Hospital Appoints New Medical Staff

DETROIT — New doctors have been appointed to the medical staff at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. They are:

Aparna Josha, M.D., was named chief of pediatric imaging. Board certified in pediatric radiology, she earned her medical degree from the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her fellowship in diagnostic radiology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Joshi has been on the medical staff at Children’s Hospital for 13 years and is committed to patient safety, with a focus on minimizing radiation exposure during all pediatric imaging procedures.

Ahmed Bazzi, D.O., has recently joined the Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Department of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Bazzi specializes in congenital pseudoarthrosis and open fractures. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Bazzi received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his fellowship in pediatric orthropedic surgery at John Hopkins School of Medicine.

Doris Taha, M.D., FAAP, a pediatric endocrinologist at the Children’s Hospital of MIchigan Specialty Center in Detroit and Stilson Specialty Center in Clinton Township. Taha specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with diabetes.

Henry L. Walters III, M.D., chief of the Department of Pediatric of Cardiovascular surgery at Children’s hospital, was named as associate editor for surgery for cardiology in the Young by the Press Syndicate. 

Hazim Zagnloul, M.D., recently joined the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center in Clinton Township and specialty centers in Detroit and Bloomfield Hills. Zaghloul completed his fellowship at Children’s Pediatric. 

Abilash Haridas, M.D., a pediatric neurosurgeon, joins the Children’s Hospital of Michigan after completing a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Memorial in Chicago. 

Mitchell T. Williams, M.D., is seeing patients at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and the specialty centers in Canton and West Bloomfield in the department of pediatric neuology and neuroimmunolgy. Williams completed a fellowship pin pediatric neurology at Children’s.
