CLARKSTON — Chase Plastics, a North American distributor of specialty, engineering and commodity thermoplastics, announced today that it has appointed Alan Arduini to the newly created position of vice president, sales, effective immediately. Arduini will spearhead the company’s efforts to double revenue by 2020 and increase the number of its sellers and territories.
“As our sales volume and team continue to grow, it is crucial that we provide our frontline employees with the guidance and support Chase Plastics is known for delivering to our customers,” said Kevin Chase, president of Chase Plastics. “Alan’s promotion is an exciting development for us as we look to the future and the aggressive goals we have outlined for our company. We have put a proven leader and performer in charge of our sales management staff while keeping the entrepreneurial mindset and focus Chase Plastics is known for. This move also reduces the number of direct reports each member of our senior leadership team is responsible for managing, which will improve efficiency and our ability to provide more personal attention to our employees, customers, and suppliers.”
In his new role overseeing the training, coaching, development, and performance of Chase Plastics’ sales team, Arduini is tasked with grooming top-performing employees for advancement opportunities, including management positions.

In his new position, Arduini will be responsible for achieving the company’s goal of expanding the team from 28 sales employees currently to 34 in 2016, and 39 in 2020. He joined Chase Plastics in 1996 and has served in a variety of roles, including as head of the company’s logistics and warehousing operations and, most recently, regional sales manager.
