McLaren Health Care (MHC) has announced the promotion of Chad Grant to the position of executive vice president and COO.

Before the promotion, Grant was the president of McLaren’s central region. In his new position, he will oversee all hospital operations across the system, which includes 14 hospitals in Michigan and one in Maumee, Ohio.

“[Grant’s] in-depth knowledge of the McLaren system, combined with his expertise and proven track record in hospital operations, physician alignment, and strategic planning will serve our organization well in building on market growth, access, and quality initiatives,” says Phillip Incarnati, president and CEO of MHC. “[Grant’s] work ethic and collaborative focus have earned him respect from all members of the McLaren executive management team as well as our physician and board leadership.”

He joined the company in December 2014 as president and CEO of McLaren Oakland. In 2016, he was promoted to the same position at McLaren Flint, the birthplace of the McLaren system. In 2018, the system created three regional president positions. Grant was promoted to president of the central region then.

Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine from Siena Heights University and a master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. He has multiple professional affiliations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and Associates.
