CATCH Night of Champions Set Oct. 15

DETROIT — Community leaders Dave Bergman, Jane and Richard Manoogian, and Devin Scillian will be inducted into the CATCH Hall of Fame at CATCH Night of Champions XXV, presented by Ford Motor Co., on Oct. 15 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn.

CATCH Night of Champions features a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner, a live auction and a ceremony for the inductees. Additionally, Dr. Elliott Attisha, medical director of the Children’s Health Project of Detroit at Henry Ford Health System, will receive the Dr. Clarence Livingood Humanitarian Award.

As part of the 25th Night of Champions, several past CATCH honorees are scheduled to attend, including Jim Berline, Lloyd Carr, Dave Dombrowski, Dr. Herman Gray, Carmen Harlan, Ted Lindsay, Nancy Schlichting, and Paul W. Smith. Also scheduled to attend are some of Dave Bergman’s former teammates including Dan Petry, Frank Tanana and Dave Rozema.

CATCH annually raises funds for items and services that improve the quality of life for sick, injured and needy pediatric patients who receive care at Children’s Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. Since its founding in 1987 by the late Tiger Manager Sparky Anderson, CATCH has provided $5.4 million to the two hospitals while growing its board-designated endowment to nearly $9 million.
